Online – distance learning supported by Moodle platform

Short Description
The course was in fact a blended course most of it was online. Face-to-face consultations were organised and the audience was introduced to the use of Moodle. The participants were issued certificates following their successful completion of the course.

Online learning was started by correspondence learning which were a combination of distance learning and face-to-face group learning. Today online learning is 100% virtual or combined with other methods into a blended course. In online learning are included virtual platforms of online learning. Internet access is needed. Courses are administered by administrator. Digital technologies supporting learning are subject to quick changing and development, so, it may happen that at the beginning of the project a virtual platform is up to date, while, at the end of the project it is already outdated.

Pedagogical Information

Adult educators should be aware of the fact that such an online course can be a bit difficulty for dyslectic learners who do not bare the chunking of the course material and not having the view of the course in entirety. Such an online course is mostly based on controlling questions which “kills” creativity and freedom in learning.

European Dimension

The method supports the values at the core of European Union like social inclusion, peace, freedom, etc.
