Treasure hunt
The playful transfer of knowledge about the women of Ulm is the main focus here. With the help of a mobile app, the interest of women and men of different ages in the contribution of historical and contemporary women is to be awakened. At various locations in the city centre of Ulm there are memorial steles which point to the outstanding achievements of the women of Ulm. These are part of the rally, which we have contested with a tablet or a smartphone. There is a quiz question for each of these steles. The answer can be found on the information boards. Two attempts are possible in order to find the correct answer – then the question is resolved. In addition, there are five starlet tasks for the city of Ulm.
Pedagogical Information
The method builds on a playful understanding of learning, the participants pick up on the learning content in a playful manner and actively deal with it through the tasks set. The playful character also offers an approach to participants who have not otherwise dealt with these learning contents. The method is considered to be particularly low-threshold, especially for children and adolescents who are usually well trained in playing with tablets and smartphones.European Dimension
The method provides playful access to new learning content. In this case, to places and places associated with historical and contemporary women. Within the project, the method was transferred to other European cities. The method invites to explore cities thematically in intercultural and intergenerational contexts and is also suitable for European student, youth or senior exchange programmes.Applied in projects
