Presentation in a Real Situation
The aim is to give opportunity to transfer the learned knowledge and skills in a simulating environment to a real one.
The steps of the method are:
1. Preparatory stage: (a) three seminars with three types of participants are organized. Participants in the seminars are selected to be professionals from business and NGO sectors- open minded to innovation and knowledge transfer from science. (b) Describing the aim of the presentation according to the audience, analyzing the audience’s level of knowledge of the topic and preparation the presentation with help by the tutors.
2. Implementation stage: each member of the target group makes 3 presentations about the study he/she is doing: presentation oriented to peers on national and international level, presentation oriented to potential donor and biasness community and presentation oriented to wide audience and pupils at secondary and upper level schools. One seminar with peers are organized in Manchester Business School that gives opportunity PhD students to make presentations in international level and to train to communicate in an international scientific community. 3. Evaluation stage- after each seminar there are discussion about each presentations, about questions that were provoked and about the discussion taken place. A questionnaire for self-satisfaction of the presentation is used.
Pedagogical Information
Presentation in a Real situation trains students to transfer their theoretical knowledge and skills achieved in a simulating environment into a real environment. It trains them to debate and to discuss with people from various social groups, to make presentations on a foreign language and to create common understanding with international scientific community about professional topics.European Dimension

The project aims are to create a mechanism to facilitate career development of young scientists and post-doctoral students by increasing their transferable skills and skills for communication with their colleagues from other scientific areas in Bulgaria and UK and to create their common language, to teach them to communicate with potential users of the research results. The project idea is to find out effective mechanisms for collaboration between scientists and potential users of their scientific results; to train students to work in a complex team for creating different types of innovations.
