Making short featured films
The method starts with reading articles on filmmaking, theoretical studies and practical accounts on the topic. It goes on with a tentative development of the story and the script. It is necessary to create psychological profiles of the main characters. There are many craft skills to be learned: writing a scenario, drawing a storyboard, choosing the location, using the camera, film directing, editing and post production as well as making attractive trailers and choosing the music or composing the music.
Pedagogical Information
120 hours lasting course is a minimum, out of which the film workshops should last at least 40 hours and additional hours for editing and post production.
European Dimension
Short films made by the target groups at the edge of society are a valuable opportunity for them to express their own point of view and introduce the local, national and international audience (festivals) to their topics which at the same time are European social topics like cohesion of society, social inclusion, community, diversity, etc.

CINAGE – a Grundtvig multilateral project, supported by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme – was composed of interlinked activities resulting in the production of a learning package, for use by adult educators and aimed at empowering older people towards achieving a more active ageing.
